Can Asthma be Controlled by Perfect Diets?

So a study from the American Thoracic Society states that obesity is a significant risk factor for asthma development. Therefore, asthma may be more severe and harder to treat in obese people. Because it can be easier to control the condition when you eat a balanced diet and maintain healthy weight.

1st is Vitamin D

Therefore according to the Vitamin D Council, consuming enough vitamin D can help to reduce the number of asthma attacks in kids aged 6 to 15 years. Vitamin D sources contain:

  • salmon
  • fortified milk
  • fortified orange juice
  • eggs

So you may wish to avoid them as a source of vitamin D, if you realize you have allergies to milk or eggs. Because asthma can be allergic symptoms from a food source.

2nd is Vitamin A

Therefore a 2018 reliable source research found that asthma-containing children generally have lower blood level of vitamin A than asthma-free children. Because higher levels of vitamin A were also higher in children with asthma. So good vitamin A sources are:

3rd is Bananas

However a study published in the EJ found that the number of wheezing bananas in children with asthma could be increasing. Because the antioxidant and potassium content of the fruit, which can boost lung function, can contribute to this.

4th is Magnesium

Therefore a research in the U.S. Epidemiology Journal found that children aged 11 to 19 with low levels of magnesium also had poor lung flow and weight. Above all through eating high-magnesium foods such as: Children will raise their magnesium levels

So inhaling magnesium (through a nebulizer) is another good way to treat asthma attacks.

Therefore having a healthier diet may also lead to benefits such as:

  • weight loss
  • lower blood pressure
  • lower cholesterol
  • improved digestion
